$0.00

Based on X% contribution rate

Contributions are mandatory if your Net Trade Income \(NTI\) exceeds **$6,000** a year.

## MediSave for the Self-Employed

As a Self-Employed Person \(SEP\), you do not receive regular employer CPF contributions. To ensure you have enough savings for your healthcare needs, you are required by law to contribute to your MediSave Account if your Net Trade Income \(NTI\) is more than $6,000 a year.

### What is Net Trade Income \(NTI\)?

Your NTI is your gross trade income minus all allowable business expenses, capital allowances, and trade losses as determined by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore \(IRAS\).

### Contribution Rates \(NTI > $18,000\)

  * **Below 35 years:** 8.00%
  * **35 to 44 years:** 9.00%
  * **45 to 49 years:** 10.00%
  * **50 years and above:** 10.50%

\* Note: For NTI between $6,000 and $18,000, phased-in rates apply. The maximum NTI subject to MediSave contributions is currently capped at $81,600 per year \(based on the Ordinary Wage Ceiling of $6,800 x 12\). This calculator provides a close estimate.
