MediSave Account \(MA\)

Total Monthly Contribution: **$0.00**

## How CPF Allocation Works

When you and your employer make CPF contributions, the money doesn't stay in one big pot. It is distributed into three different accounts, each serving a specific purpose:

  * **Ordinary Account \(OA\):** Primarily for housing, insurance, investment, and education.
  * **Special Account \(SA\):** For old age and investment in retirement-related financial products.
  * **MediSave Account \(MA\):** For hospitalization expenses and approved medical insurance.

### Why does the allocation change with age?

As you grow older, your financial needs shift. The CPF allocation rates are designed to reflect this:

  * **Younger workers:** Higher allocation to the Ordinary Account to support home purchases.
  * **Older workers:** More funds are channeled to the Special and MediSave Accounts to prepare for retirement and higher healthcare needs.

\* Note: This calculator provides an estimate based on standard rates for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents \(from 3rd year onwards\). The maximum monthly wage capped for calculation is the Ordinary Wage Ceiling \(currently $6,800\). Actual amounts may vary slightly due to rounding.
